Swim With The Fishes

We watched a programme about marine wildlife the other day, and of course it featured the worlds largest living structure – visible from space no less – the Great Barrier Reef.  Well I have to tell you that along with exotic fruit, another reason I’m excited about our trip to Port Douglas is that we are going snorkeling on the reef.

It seems like only yesterday that I learnt to swim (it was in fact only last year in Dad and Sue’s pool) but I’m really looking forward to this part of our trip.  We’ll be sailing out of Port Douglas, donning our wetsuits and diving on in.  Ok, so I might just lower myself in gently, but hey – baby steps :) .

I can’t wait to see the coral, the fishes, the turtles and all those other awesome things we’ve seen on assorted Attenborough programmes.  I can’t wait for this trip period!!
