I haz been. . .
Today I finished all of our Christmas shopping. Scott and I are filling each others’ stockings in the States, so that is still to be done, but everyone and everything else has been taken care of. I’ve written, addressed and sealed all of our Christmas cards (except for one which Scott copied in his own handwriting), and they are ready to be popped into the post box to start their journeys to four different countries.
I have my recipes ready for the baskets of homemade goodies I’ll be preparing for local gift giving, and I’ve scheduled Wed. 12th December as the day for baking all of those treats. So far I’m including some: Maple Balsamic Glazed Pecans, Whisky Tablet, Bailey’s Chocolate Fudge, Pineapple Jam and a Cajun BBQ Spice Mix. There are some truffles that I just haven’t decided about.
The cushion covers and duvets and shams all went to the dry cleaners this week. We both have hair appointments next week. Then we’re off to Melbourne Saturday to Tuesday, back in time for me to bake my goodies on Wednesday, pack on Thursday and then head off to the States on Saturday the 15th. Phew!
We’re also doing a Pre-Christmas fasting detox next week (more about that later). Other than maybe a couple of mani and pedi sessions, I think that’s it for me before we go. Scott still has to prepare for the two talks he’s giving in Melbourne and a possible presentation for next week, but I think we’re on top of this Christmas thing, and it’s not even December yet.
