We are going to the States (Hawaii, did we mention
) but the difference these days is that Australia has much MUCH stricter import regulations than the UK. This means we are quite limited on what we can bring back. I miss US peanut butter.
However, there are a number of things that you can get here that we don’t need to worry about. I was quite impressed to find some Celestial Season Red Zinger tea as I always have it at home. Now I don’t know if they’ve changed the recipe, but as soon as we opened it the difference was olfactorily evident: peppermint. It’s not bad, it’s still good, it’s just … unnecessarily different.
But why change something, when you can bring it totally unchanged. That makes sense right? Even when it’s the Outback Steakhouse? I’ll give you a clue, the keyword is not Steakhouse. Outback is an American chain of Australian themed restaurants. Why oh why do we need one of these in Sydney? If someone could explain this logic, I’d love to hear it.
